Quick Hits - Topics without a topic...or something - Error Code Show

00 First up on Quick Topics, Avengers Secret War and Doomsday have both been delayed six months from May of next year and 2027 to the December. I'm not shocked at all. Right. I thought that that was ambitious as hell. I know they're already filming and I know like Infinity War and Endgame, they're filming them back to back so they can just bump bump. Were you surprised to hear that, Jay? No, not at all. Like I was like, yeah, that sounds right. Yeah. I was like, plus with some of the stuff that got coming like Punisher and Daredevil season two, I think they want to get out some of this stuff that's that they don't want to have impacted by what's going to happen in Doomsday and moving into Secret Wars. I don't think they want Daredevil season two to be like, wait a minute, didn't the world just end in Doomsday?

48 Right. Like. And that gives time for Spider -Man to come out. Spider -Man, the new one, brand new day so that it's not affected by Doomsday. There's a bunch of stuff. So I think that's probably a good idea ah, but the devil wears Prada to got a release date of May 2026 and I'm low -key excited Did you watch the devil wears Prada Jay, so this is kind of funny I Have heard about this maybe so much So much and I like just watched it for the first time I think I can't remember if it's like at the beginning of this year or Last year. My wife was out of town And I was like, you know what? I'm just gonna try it and I was I was like, yeah This is really good It's got a banging cast it does Meryl Streep and Hathaway Emily Blunt Stanley fucking Tucci. I love Stanley Tucci And I did not know they were making a second one. So I'm kind of hyped that I didn't have to wait too long for a sequel. I don't know.

06 I played it right, I guess. So we get that in about a year. They're going to start filming that soon. I think that's a lot of fun. I said I'm low key excited for Devil Wears Prada 2. I'm a huge fan of that original cast. I think this could be great. The Last of Us television show creators say they need four seasons or sorry, three seasons just to do the story of the second game. For why? Can you explain this to me? I can't because I didn't play the game. I have been watching the show. You packed the whole first game into one season. Yeah. And you got to the all right. You got to the point and put the spoiler warning up for you to mute it. Spoiler I figured before last of a season two came out That they would wait until episode six or seven of season two to kill off Joel Right. I knew it was coming, but I figured they were gonna expand the second game into two seasons So I figure they would wait and kill Joel off about halfway through when Joel died that early. I was like, oh boy Really And now you need to stretch the rest of the game into three seasons. Like you did the whole first game in one season done.

37 For why? Now it feels like a cat, like if it was network, it would feel like a cash grab. Like, guys, you don't need that long to finish this. You're going to make your point long before then. I don't get it. I don't. All right. Warfare and Civil War director Alex Garland is going to direct an Elden Ring movie for eight twenty four, which is weird. It's going to be like super hard to actually see this movie like most people are going to make it. Most people are going to give up on the drive there. Alex Garland of all directors and a 24 of all studios. For those who don't know, a 24 makes a low budget movie.

33 They don't spend a lot of money. You're doing Eldon Ring. So I don't see how they can do Eldon Ring, but also are. Oh, this is it. So it's going to be low budget. So like 10 minutes in. Boom. Movie cuts out. You have to figure out how to freaking get up there and play like resume the movie. And you're not going to be able to. You're going to fail 20 times and the movie's going to be up. Yeah. I love it. I look as a 24, in my opinion, is a great production house. Do you like them? They're a good team. And I think what they do is important. But first off again, Alex Garland. And Eldon Ring. I just I don't see Eldon Ring being a low budget film. I can't I I and again, this is not from You know Bill Bixby's frickin Twitter account. This is from Deadline Yeah, right. This is not BS It's like are you gonna have to fight a boss to try to get your popcorn Maybe You're not gonna get popcorn. I'll tell you right now. You won't you won't win.

52 You're gonna lose that boss fight You're not gonna get the popcorn Those of you have that have not played Elden Ring. It's a very hard game I don't get it anyway That's it for your quick hits. Those are the four topics that I saw that I was like, that's neat, but not worth an entire topic in and of itself. And we cover it in like seven minutes or less. So thanks for that. Tell us what you think about those four things down in the comments below.
